Tufted Duck / Porrón moñudo
Maximum size: 43 cm
They are very scarce. They are a hibernating species, and they can
be seen in wetlands and dams in the centre and the south of the Iberian
Females are browner-coloured, while males are black-and-white with
a black head and a neat crest which gives it the
name of tufted duck.They can be seen between October and February in
lagoons as well as by the edge of hollows.
